Welcome to beautiful Mancos Valley between Mesa Verde and the mountains. Mancos is located in the southwestern corner of Colorado between the San Juan mountains and the desert canyon. It is approx. 55 miles to the Four Corners area where Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona meet. Mancos is 7 miles from Mesa Verde National Park entrance. Durango is 27 miles east of Mancos, where the famous Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is proudly located. Cortez is 17 miles west of Mancos. Shop or dine out in Farmington, less then an hours drive from downtown Mancos.

Winter in Mancos
In the winter time when the snow falls, Mancos looks just like a classic "Norman Rockwell" painting driving down main street. You can ski at Purgatory Ski Resort, it's about an hours drive from Mancos. Take a ride on the Silverton Train and see some of the most beautiful snow-capped mountains and valleys anywhere.

In the summertime we have some of the most beautiful mountains with tall pines, rolling green hills and towering peaks. Escape to the mountains, fish our lakes and streams, play golf at places like Dalton Ranch in Durango or Pagosa Springs, water ski at nearby McPhee reservoir, go horseback riding, jeep tours, ride on the Mancos Stagecoach, go river rafting, hiking and lots more.

In the fall we have some of the most beautiful fall colors anywhere in the country. Take a ride on the Silverton Train from Durango through the San Juan National Forest and see some of the brightest fall colors anywhere in the country, a must see for photographers everywhere!
